Words in the Wild Presents: WordLab
Open to all 1st-3rd grade students, our research-based curriculum focuses on building reading and writing skills with minimum screen time, and maximum engagement! WordLab is an opportunity to build literacy skills in a small community of learners guided by expert teachers. Grounded in nature and infused with joy, our hands-on approach builds skills in reading, writing, and spelling, AND boosts confidence. Sessions include: - Read alouds for comprehension and vocabulary building - Interactive explorations with materials sent in a special care package - Break-out groups for focused Structured Word Inquiry lessons - Group reflection and sharing for community building With built-in movement breaks and activities designed to get children to engage with the natural world around them - this isn't just more screen time!
