Azula Learning - Spanish Summer School
Summer school and nature camp rolled into one! Each day students will engage with quality literature, grow their Spanish vocabulary, increase their reading fluency and take on roles as actors, writers and stage directors. They will also climb trees, create costumes, build forts, bespeckle themselves with paint, and let their imaginations run free in the forest.
The daily schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 1:30pm. Drop off will alternate between Dimond Park and Joaquin Miller Park (near Roberts Park). Aftercare will be available until 3:30, either for swimming at Roberts Pool (MW) or free-play in Dimond Park (TTH). On Fridays we will offer special field trips during aftercare to places such as Alameda beach or Cull Canyon. Aftercare on Fridays will end at 4:30.
This program is intended for students who attend a Spanish-immersion program during the school year or who are bilingual and speak Spanish with their families. Summer School in the Sun is a particularly good fit for children who enjoy imaginary play, acting, drawing, creating stories, and exploring nature.
