CMC CHAMBER MUSIC CAMP

About

CMC CHAMBER MUSIC CAMP: Delight in Playing Chamber Music with Others

Spend a week this summer playing in supportive small ensembles, coached daily by CMC faculty. Students (ages 12-18) may also participate in master classes, large ensembles by instrument, and daily independent chamber music rehearsals. Pre-formed groups as well as individuals are encouraged to apply. An informal recital will be presented at the end of camp. Music will be mailed to participants early to allow adequate time for practice with private teachers before the beginning of camp.

Open to piano, strings, woodwinds, and brass students. Minimum three years of private lessons on an instrument required. As part of the application, you will sign up for a friendly ensemble placement audition in March or April. Students are asked to perform two contrasting pieces: one slow and one fast.

Two sessions and locations:

  • Mission District Branch, Monday-Friday, June 24–28, 2019, 9am-12pm
  • Richmond District Branch, Monday-Friday, July 8–12, 2019, 9am-12pm

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. Registration deadline: May 17. 2019
