Our Lady of Mount Carmel School

About

Our Lady of Mount Carmel students pursue academic excellence, grow in social awareness and develop a passion for Jesus's message. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School has educated generations of local students. The school buildings, playground, gym, science center, after-school care center, and preschool are contained within our gated and secure campus. In addition to grades 1-8, we offer a two-year pre-school, a transitional kindergarten and a kindergarten program. As one of the most ethnically diverse Catholic schools on the Peninsula, our school currently serves a multi-cultural population of 270 students. Founded in 1885, OLMC has long been a part of a vibrant parish community. Under the direction of the San Francisco Archdiocese Department of Catholic Schools, OLMC is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Educational Association. We offer rigorous academics following state curriculum standards in all core subjects (language arts, mathematics, science, social studies). Additional subjects include art, music, religion, social-emotional learning, Spanish, penmanship, physical education and performing arts.
