Join our fantastic scholastic chess camps! Flexible schedules of mornings only, afternoons only or all day camp. You can sign up for the entire week or by the day (half day camp: $70, per day, $300 per week; full day camp: $130 per day, $600 per week, early bird pricing).

Our camps are fun, engaging and challenging! Meet new friends who share a love of chess while improving your game and learning new strategies! Multiple levels of chess taught. The newly renovated Berkeley Chess Center, fronted by a 256 sq. ft. chessboard window, is a wonderful place to learn the game of kings, with a spacious tournament hall and a large playground for outdoor recreation.

Campers must have completed kindergarten; young campers are accepted on a provisional basis. For 30 years, our experienced staff have helped kids excel in their play (on the chess board and in the playground!) in a fun and safe environment. Former campers now bring their kids! Join us for a great camp experience!

Our main camp is in Berkeley, but we also hold camps as part of recreation programs in Orinda, Piedmont, and Pleasant Hill.
