OUR 2025 FELLOWS:
Elsy – A visionary leader passionate about globalization, entrepreneurship, and economics, Elsy is driven by curiosity about different cultures. Her project, HerEquity, equips young women with the skills, mentorship, confidence, and a supportive community to navigate finance and entrepreneurship while staying true to themselves.
Itzel – A junior at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, Itzel enjoys crafting, visiting the library, and giving back to her community. Her project, La Cultura Cura, offers free tutoring for Spanish-speaking elementary students in SFUSD, helping them build language skills and confidence. It was recently awarded a $1,200 grant from YEF.
Jasmine – A senior at George Washington High School and dedicated youth advocate, Jasmine aspires to study Pre-Law with a minor in Political Science or Public Policy. Her project, Project Paw, provides essential pet care packages for unhoused individuals in San Francisco, ensuring support for both people and their pets, as well as coordinating youth pet volunteering initiatives in partnership with SPCA. PAW was recently awarded an $8,000 grant from YEF.
Lauren – A junior at Lowell High School, Lauren is a passionate student advocate involved in startups, youth-led organizations, and advisory groups. She aims to build a career at the intersection of business and policy. Her project, StressLess, helps high school students manage stress and cultivate mindfulness. It recently received a $10,000 grant from YEF.
Renee – A junior at George Washington High School, Renee loves exploring diverse cultures through food and travel. Project Fresh, promotes healthier communities by making nutritional health resources more accessible to youth. It was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from YEF.
Susanna – A junior at George Washington High School, Susanna enjoys drawing, music, and playing piano. She loves exploring Asian cuisine and making new connections. Her project, uCreate, provides young artists with a collaborative platform to develop entrepreneurial skills. It was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from YEF.
Sophia – A sophomore at Lowell High School, Sophia’s project, Project BeYOUty, was inspired by “Girls Glam Up Nights,” where friends bonded over self-care. The initiative empowers participants through self-expression, confidence-building, and community connection. It was recently awarded an $5,000 grant from YEF.
