Tri-Valley Cultural Jews to Celebrate Succos with Community Sukkah Raising and Potluck Brunch
Sunday, October 5, 2025 – 10:30 AM – Livermore, CA
Livermore, CA — Tri-Valley Cultural Jews (TVCJ) warmly invites families and community members to join in a joyful and hands-on Succos celebration on Sunday, October 5th at 10:30 AM in Livermore.
Succos is a traditional Jewish fall holiday that honors the harvest season and the spirit of gathering together. It also invites us to reflect on the fragility of shelter and to appreciate the security and comfort so many of us are privileged to have. As part of this tradition, we’ll build and decorate a sukkah—a temporary outdoor shelter—followed by a potluck brunch and time to connect with friends old and new.
We invite attendees to bring a branch to place on the sukkah roof, a fruit to hang as decoration, and a brunch dish to share. There will be crafts and activities for all ages, and plenty of opportunities to relax, schmooze, and celebrate the season.
Tri-Valley Cultural Jews is a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse community of Cultural Jews and their families. We celebrate Jewish culture, history, and holidays from a secular, humanistic perspective.
This event is free for members. For non-members, a $15 suggested donation per adult is appreciated if you are able.
