About Ann Kozlovsky

A Journey from Engineering to Education

I came to education 25 years ago after a career in engineering, driven by a calling to make an impact on the future through teaching. Over the years, my journey in education has taken me from teaching kindergarten to middle school, and eventually into school leadership. During the pandemic, I had the privilege of serving as principal, where—with the dedication of my team—we successfully guided our school through the challenges of both in-person and online learning. Together, we earned the 2021 National Blue Ribbon Award in the Exemplarary High Performing category, a well-deserved recognition of our teachers’ excellence and commitment.

Philosophy of Whole-Child Education

My philosophy has never wavered: I believe in focusing on the whole child—mind, heart, and character. I strive to create an environment where children feel secure with clear guidelines and mutual respect, enabling them to thrive. I want every student to challenge themselves, embrace mistakes as part of learning, and feel safe enough to take risks. When children are willing to try new things, they discover their unique gifts—and those gifts shape the future. I see the promise of tomorrow in every child who walks through our doors, and my goal is to help each one bring their best self to the world they will one day lead.

Vision for Tomorrow’s Leaders

Looking ahead, I am now embracing the challenges of managing and thoughtfully integrating artificial intelligence into the elementary school environment. While technology and STEM are a strong focus in Silicon Valley, I believe tomorrow’s leaders must be grounded in strong foundational skills across all subjects. Above all, I advocate for developing problem-solvers who communicate with clarity and lead with compassion—qualities that will empower future generations to navigate the accelerating pace of change in our world.

Academic Background and Professional Training

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Stanford, MBA U.C. Berkeley, multi-subject teaching credential, Master’s in Educational Leadership, Santa Clara University.

Rooted in the Bay Area Community

I am a Bay Area native and have had the priviledge of raising my three daughters here. Living and working in Silicon Valley has given me a deep appreciation for the unique culture, energy, and opportunities in this community.

Saint Simon Parish School, as a ministry of Saint Simon Parish, is committed to educating the whole child in a nurturing, student-centered atmosphere. Supported by the framework of our Catholic values, we foster each student’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, moral, social, and physical growth.
