Leadership at Highlands Christian Schools

With over 20 years of experience in education, I bring a unique blend of classroom instruction and leadership to every role I serve. I have spent more than a decade teaching psychology and philosophy at the college level, five years as a classroom teacher in elementary education, and an additional five years in school administration. This diverse background has shaped my deep belief that education is not merely the transfer of knowledge—it is a sacred calling to unlock the infinite potential within every student.

My educational philosophy is rooted in the conviction that each child is full of boundless possibilities. As educators, our role goes beyond instruction—we are guides, mentors, and facilitators of growth. We help students recognize their gifts and support them in developing the confidence and resilience needed to pursue their individual paths. As a Christian, I also believe that every student is uniquely created by God, with a divine plan and purpose. Our calling as educators is to help students discover and fulfill that purpose through compassion, wisdom, and faith.

I believe that true student success is built on strong collaboration between teachers, families, and the broader school community. Family involvement in planning and open communication is essential to supporting the whole child. An inclusive, accepting, and supportive school culture allows students to thrive both academically and personally. When families, educators, and the community work together in harmony, students are empowered to grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.

My approach to education recognizes the delicate balance between curriculum, student abilities, teacher qualifications, learning environment, and available resources. Teaching is both an art and a science—grounded in research and best practices, yet also requiring creativity, adaptability, and faith. It is through this holistic approach that we create a nurturing, dynamic learning environment where children can truly flourish.

As an administrator, I am committed to building communities where every voice is valued, every learner is supported, and every educator is empowered to make a meaningful impact. Education is not just a profession for me—it is a mission to shape lives and contribute to the formation of thoughtful, capable, and purpose-driven individuals.
