The German International School of Silicon Valley (GISSV) inspires students from preschool through high school to become global citizens. We provide a multicultural dual-language environment that promotes responsibility, critical thinking and academic excellence. Our programs culminate in U.S. and German diplomas, preparing our graduates for worldwide opportunities.
Our two Bay Area campuses feature a German/English immersion program with a well-balanced educational approach, fostering interests across all academic disciplines, social-emotional competency, artistic expression and physical motor skills. We are a recognized MINT (the German equivalent to STEM) school. Our curriculum is enhanced by comprehensive
technology resources.
The GISSV Mountain View campus is located adjacent to Whisman Park, featuring sports fields, tennis courts, open green space and a playground. It offers a preschool through grade 12 program as well as a German Saturday School that is open to all ages. Our cohesive structure throughout the grade levels and our broad, liberal arts-based educational approach enable us to integrate hands-on learning activities, creativity and academic challenges into the school experience at every age. We have a vibrant international school community and offer a wide range of activities and events beyond the classroom-from field trips to community service opportunities, athletics, stage productions and celebrations of German, American and international cultural traditions.
