Celebrating 10 years this year, Millennium was founded on the latest research in adolescent development, mindfulness, and experiential learning. Our program is designed to meet the needs of early adolescence—balancing innovative academics with social-emotional learning, real-world experiences, and deep personal growth.
Our teachers aren’t just educators, they’re skilled Guides who understand the unique magic and challenges of the middle school years. The Millennium Way framework transforms our classrooms into dynamic learning labs where Guides mirror, model, and mentor students through academics and social-emotional development.
Students engage in interdisciplinary Quests each term, tackling challenges through thought-provoking questions like “Are We Alone in the Universe?”. This unique academic structure combines Humanities and STEM Quests with engaging language, math, and art blocks. Weekly Wednesday expeditions, wilderness days, international and domestic travel, and week-long camping trips ensure that learning extends beyond textbooks and the classroom.
Millennium embraces inclusivity and welcomes all students. We recognize and celebrate different learning styles, acknowledging that each individual has both strengths and areas for growth. We are committed to our J.E.D.I values (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) in every area of our school community and the world beyond. Our belief in the importance of these values stems from our developmental understanding of identity formation and empathy development. Middle school is the time when adolescents ask and answer three fundamental questions: Who am I? How do I relate to others? What will I contribute to the world? What will I contribute to the world? By guiding our students to learn how to incorporate multiple viewpoints and experiences, it enables them to honor what is unique within themselves while developing the ability to affect meaningful change in the world.
At Millennium, we empower students for a lifetime of well-being.
