Welcome to Stratford’s San Francisco 14th Ave Campus
Stratford’s San Francisco 14th Ave campus is a private preschool, elementary, and middle school in the heart of the Richmond District, just a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. Located on 14th Avenue, between Cabrillo Street and Balboa Street, the Stratford campus is conveniently accessible from 19th Avenue and Balboa Street, serving the local neighborhoods of Little Russia, Central Richmond, Inner Sunset, and Presidio Heights.
Our 14th Avenue campus offers an innovative and intentionally balanced STEAM-based curriculum for students in Preschool through Grade 5. The thoughtfully designed learning spaces include a library, music room, urban outdoor playgrounds for elementary and preschool students, an indoor gym, and two floors with bright, cheerful classrooms. The campus features a spacious multipurpose room with a well-equipped stage, ideal for student performances and special events.
Stratford School balances an innovative STEAM curriculum that integrates social-emotional learning, character development, and extracurricular enrichment for students from Early Preschool through High School. In addition to a daily focus on the foundational skills in reading, writing, math, history, and science, we also emphasize art and self-expression and include specialty teachers in music, P.E., computer science, and world languages (Spanish and Mandarin). Preschool students also enjoy ample opportunities for play and exploration throughout their day. Our robust program fosters collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and leadership skills, all designed to nurture a lifelong love of learning.
Unique to this Stratford School campus is its Mandarin Bilingual program. Stratford’s Mandarin Bilingual Preschool through Elementary programs are immersive, five-day-per-week programs designed to promote consistency and continuity in learning a second language. Students enrolled in the Mandarin Bilingual program will build upon foundational knowledge, skills, and concepts in our core STEAM curriculum, while also gaining a cultural experience and understanding in a fun and enriching learning environment. Stratford’s robust Preschool and Elementary curriculum is taught by teachers who speak and instruct in both Mandarin and English.
